Trails: Trails wet and very muddy in places (especially Cedar Brook Trail). The many stream crossings were not difficult. No ice or snow on the trails at all (but this will probably change soon). A few blowdowns (maybe 5 or 6 or so) on the Hancock Notch and Cedar Brook Trails. Loop Trail in O.K. shape.
Equipment: Poles helpful for descent. (Once the rocks on the stream crossings ice over, poles or some other form of traction will probably be essential.)
