All trails from the Kank inward are in great shape. Water crossings are easy, and mud is not an issue. Very few black flies unless you stopped for quite a while, and even then the bug spray kept them away very effectively. Lots of people out on the trails on this sunny, warm day. At the parking area before we left, a Lincoln police officer stopped to warn us that there had been a recent problem with break-ins to hikers' cars, so be aware.
