Hancocks via notch tr. cedar brook and loop trail 12/30/08

2inches of snow to cedar then 4-6inches up to loop trail. trail between mountains is well marked which helped because 1 foot of drifting snow was covering trail. came down south hancock , steep and slippery drop for snowshoes crampons would help.

water crossing challenging ,some walking in water. saw 9 hikers today should define trail more.

water proof boots, poles, and snowshoes. saw
enough post holes. crampons for decent.
