At six AM this beautiful monday morning I stashed my Mtn Bike and brainbucket just off Tripolee road at Breadtray Ridge. Drove the Gotgorp mobile down to Depot Camp and hiked the Greely Ponds trail the 4.1 miles to the East Osceola "stairmaster" trail. Really enjoyable hillwalk over East Osceola to Osceola proper and down to the bike. Wheee, down hill all the way back to the car. Followed a group of six Explorer Scouts part of the way up and was pretty amused by their comments upon seeing the "chimney" between the Osceolas. Met some interesting hikers during the three hours I spent in the sun on the summit ledge. Practiced a little of my White Mountain "Docent" gig.
