Impressive numbers Rejean, I may see you on Saturday as I will be on the 4th and last day of a Rt. 4 to 27 traverse, including Redington.

Can't wait it looks as though it will be PERFECT hiking weather everyday, enjoy.

P.S. This thread might be moved to the Trips & Events section of VFTT.

Looks like quite a few of us will be in that area on Saturday! Hope nobody forgets the alligator eggs!

Rejean,
Modify your plan slightly to include South Horn, one of the NEHH, when doing the Bigelows. A nice loop is up the Firewarden's Trail then the AT over to Horn Pond and back down on Horn Pond Trail (might be a bit off on the trail names, but the loop starts and ends at Stratton Pond). That way you can be one summit closer to completion. You should also consider North Horn for a quiet spot for lunch.

Leave no stragglers!

I'll second this suggestion just because it is such a nice walk.

Hey, any of you folks who are going to be in the CVR-Redington-Crocker region this coming Saturday (9/2), please do me a favor. I was supposed to do Redington with Doc McPeak that day, and he'll be camping in his truck near the AT crossing on the CVR. He's in the Saddleback range this week and is out of communication.

Anyway, I have to go to a funeral on Saturday and won't be able to join him. I hope he doesn't wait too long for me, but I have no way to reach him to tell him the change in plans. :(
