no big deal here, just a circuit of North Pawtuckaway Mountain.

Much of the oaks and hickories up on the ridge have had their leaves eaten to some extent (a few trees on the southern part of the ridge have been hit hard), my guess is gypsy moths but I could be wrong.

Herb-robert (Geranium robertianum) and rock harlequin (Corydalis sempervirens) and bristly sarsparilla (Aralia hispida) in bloom on the ridge, and bullhead-lily (Nuphar lutea) in bloom at Dead Pond. Double Bow's pic of the bullhead lily by the Rockingham rail-trail reminded me that I hadn't been to Pawtuckaway in a while. (you may not follow this reasoning but I do :p )

Nothing rare here, at least nothing I ran into.

One spot had a bunch of green pyrola (Pyrola chlorantha) in bloom:

I also saw some Venus' looking-glass (Triodanis perfoliata), not yet in bloom, near the herb-robert.

If anyone out there is hiking that way in the next few weeks and sees it in bloom (PM me for exact location), let me know. It's not that important, just that I hate having empty spaces in my photo collection, and I'm planning on leaving work early a few times this summer to go on local hikes.
