With all the rain we have been getting, does anyone know the condition of the Osseo to Franconia ridge? I'm planning a trip for Sunday and want to know if the trail is disgusting or not with all the rain we have been getting. Either way, I think it will be a gaiters day.
I was thinking of doing the Tripyramids from the Kanc side, but am wary of the stream crossings, again because of all the rain.

thanks,
-Pete

was on the bondcliff trail last weekend and it was fine as far as that goes, wet, but in good shape. who knows though - I can't think of a time when we have gottom more rain in the past 4 weeks as now. things have to be taken their toll. thats a pretty well maintained trail, so you should be ok - I don't think there is a major stream crossing on it?

Once you leave the Wilderness Trail and take a left onto the Osseo Trail there is a small stream that parallels the trail. However, it shouldn't be a problem.

No stream crossings at all, so there should be no real problems. Obviously it will be very wet, and yes, there are a few parts that are often wet under normal conditions. But then, the alternative is to stay home :(

I train on the osseo, was just up there its wet thats all, its a great wet hike. Bring some tea for the downlook and enjoy the view.
