Hurricane Mountain via parking lot on Route 9 North.

Date of Hike: May 16th 2009:
Trail Conditions: Muddy with some difficult water crossings and downed trees.
Special Equipment Required: Gators would have been useful for muddy areas and some water crossings.
Comments: Good but challenging (2000 ft elevation gain) introduction hike to the Adriondacks. Views of higher peaks to the south partially obstructed by cloud deck but still great vistas. Gale force winds and pelting rain on the summit due to fast approaching storm moving up from the Keene Valley.
