We started from the South, 9N trailhead. Trail conditions at the start were 1-2" of snow covering a packed trail; as we got close to the top drifts were close to a foot, but not more than 6-8" on average. There were a few pitches with ice, but most could be avoided. The only time we had to negotiate ice was just below the summit rock scramble.
We wore our snowshoes all the way up, till just before the open rock summit and microspikes on the way down.
There was a bit of blowdown across the trail in various locations, but none was too hard to get by.
Several of the brooks were not frozen solid and the last one, just before the climb, required a couple rock hops to avoid getting our snowshoes wet.
Required: traction of some sort, microspikes and snowshoes fine, any more snow and snowshoes become the definate choice; poles help nicely.
