As of last Sunday one was able and had to bareboot all the way to the summit of Wright once above tree line. Algonquin was icy on one side and the other side facing Iroquois was mostly bare. Those conditions may soon change as right now it's raining slightly at lower elevation and only a few degrees above freezing.

Thanks Jay!:D On Sunday March 15, there was minimal snow coverage down low, and very good snow cover at higher elevations, including on the usually icy slide portion of the climb that I barely recognized. I wore snowshoes all the way to the Wright junction, then switched to crampons for the rocky and icy final climb above tree line. There were also people wearing traction aids instead of snowshoes (illegal but ample) all the way up the mountain.
