Larry Braun of Gardiner, passed away on Thursday, Nov 21st of congestive heart failure.
Born in 1933 in Brooklyn, Larry moved to Gardiner to retire in 1995.
Larry loved his life in Gardiner. A rock climber and avid hiker, he led hikes in the Shawangunks, Catskills and Adirondacks and also in Ireland and St. John in the Virgin Islands. He was a life member of the Catskill 3500 Club, the Adirondack Mountain club and the New York / New Jersey Trail Conference.
Contributions in Larry's memory may be made to the National Resource Defense council, The New York / New Jersey Trail conference, the Gardiner library or the SUNY New Paltz Foundation Larry Braun scholarship Fund for a worthy needy female engineering student.
