info on Stewart Mtn, N New Portland ME?

Has anyone climbed Stewart Mtn off the Long Falls Dam Rd near North New Portland Maine?--any beta on Long Falls Dam Road and/or reasonable approach to Stewart appreciated--e-mail is fine

The logging road W of it on the USGS map exists and can be driven with care. Climb to summit through or between cuts. One bump has JRP register the other some survey tape giving coordinates of a good view. I didn't have a GPS or a map with tick marks but when I got home I plotted the coords and they were maybe .1 mile N of summit.

Hi Roy--thanks--that was my plan-i was just up there today scouting approaches to a number of peaks and got that same info from a ME guide i talked with. I also managed to grab Saddleback 2590 (near Wilton) in my travels--more later--jim

(and yes, they are talking wind farms up there near Stewart--perhaps on the Burnt Mtn ridge and also on the Saddleback ridge near Wilton that i was on earlier in the day
