Hike Date: Saturday, October 30, 2010
Targets: Isolation
Sue and I are planning to hike Isolation on Saturday, October 30, 2010. We’re planning to arrive to PNVC approximately 7:30am for a quick visit, with a target on-trail time of 8:00am.
As it stands right now, there is still some disagreement amongst the professionals on the forecast for Saturday. Hopefully the forecasts from various sites will converge soon. Consequently, we have a Plan A and Plan B for the day. With acceptable conditions, our Plan A is a round trip via Glen Boulder. If the conditions require a more sheltered approach, our Plan B is a round trip via Rocky Branch. We’ll make a Plan A/B decision as soon as possible, probably later today or first thing tomorrow (Friday). As it stands, there isn’t any question on hiking Isolation, just the route.
If the day goes as planned we expect to be out to the trailhead by approximately 6:00pm, or perhaps a little earlier.
Is anybody interested in joining the fun?
As usual, the pace will be moderate or a little over book time.
