Date of Hike: Wed. 2-18-09
Trail was broken all the way to the summit including the Engine Hill Bushwhack. Trail was packed and hard on the first steep section then lose and unconsolidated the rest of the way. Used microspikes to start and switched to snowshoes for the ridge and left them on the rest of the day. Davis Path was like a bushwhack with so many branches in your face. The last three stream crossings had snow bridges and were no problem. I whacked around the first two. I had the trail and mountain to myself today. Trip report to follow.
