After a heavy rain storm there was about 4 inches left in the woods. We had 6.25" last night til early today. Cold, 4 deg F, light and fluffy. Fresh tracks all the way on the side trail that goes along side of Whiteface Inn Lane to the top of Haystack. 10 miles round trip. Not a soul in sight the whole way. The upper elevations should be great. DO NOT CROSS OPEN WATER. We had so much rain and despite the extreme cold weather that rain holds alot of heat and that will take a couple of days to escape.
