Date of Hike: 5/22/2009
Trail Conditions: Leave the snowshoes at home, folks. Bare and relatively dry up until the junction with the Webster branch. Then, the trail becomes considerably more muddy as one heads up to Jackson. There are a few very minor traces of monorail (lingering in the center of the trail, right before the ledgy summit rocks), all of which can be easily bypassed. A handful of blowdowns, though it appears that the trail crew has already taken care of some of them.
Special Equipment Required: Nothing.
Comments: Hiked Carrigain in the morning (won't post a TC because there have been so many this week.... as has been mentioned previously Signal Ridge is in awesome shape!). Made excellent time due to the fast conditions, which left me with a free afternoon to hike Jackson. Omnious clouds hovering over Washington prevented me from heading over to Pierce, too, which is a bummer. Ah well.
I saw a VFTT sticker in the Webster-Jackson parking lot - Red subaru, CT plates. Wonder if I encountered you on the trail...?
