Jewell was a very firm sidewalk the entire way. What a treat. No real deep snow to speak of on entire trip.
Stabilicers all day. instep crampons above treeline. Carried my snowshoes, but left them at treeline and never put them on. 100% need traction (more than stabilicers) above treeline. Plenty of ice and very firm snowpack. crampons would be ideal. (instep ones were fine as well)
Heard that Amonoosuc Ravine was blue ice in the steeps...
Insanely nice. light breezes up top and bright blue sky!
