I like the way they just slip on but I'm not going to discard my snowshoes quite yet.

I'm testing them out for a review and just had them out this past weekend at Carson Pass in the Sierra Nevada.

I need a lot more time with them, but at first blush, they're a smart design. The step in/out feature is really handy, especially if you're hiking through ice or mixed snow and dirt, as we did to get to the trailhead.

The boots were a bit hard to get on in my opinion (they're supposed to be tight though). Also - with the caveat that I need more time with them to be sure - their traction might not be quite as good as other snowshoes I've used.

But, overall: nice. Definitely seem like a good design for day hikes and snowy trail runs.
