Great article. Thanks for posting. Rick and his gang really set the tone for what was to come. Interesting info about "Buzz". Don't know how he got his nickname. But definitely some irony with it considering his antics with the so-called hippie climbers. My first Winter trip to Baxter in 1978 was still during the highly regulated years. It was worth it. So much laxer now but people who have not been there still complain about it until they finally visit the place for the first time.
