no traction needed until starting up the slide. kate sleeper trail a little hard to follow on the east slide & barely broken out but not much snow the rest of the way--bushwhacked the last half. slide was a bear, specially going sown , with the sun warmed slushy snow not holding weight well--used snow shoes up it but had to use crampons going down, the msr claws weren't long enough to bite. #73 nehh, yay
