Trail: Mt. Kearsarge North Trail
Conditions: Muddy sections, some dampness on ledges, black flies
Comments: No trees down but my, this trail could use some work, especially with waterbars. We saw people unsure of where the trail went at times on ledges, and one family was so uncomfortable with the ledges they felt were slippery that they spent time off-trail on the herd paths
. There were few breezes today, but those that showed up were well appreciated. The fire tower cabin is nice and clean and looks in good shape.
