Well, it was rainy and wet but I wanted to get out and hike, so I talked a friend into going up Kearsarge with me. It was a good hike and it was SNOWING at the top. We hung out in the tower for a bit and had a snack and listened to the wind howling and the windows rattle. Nifty. I will have to return there one of these days after work to see a view... We beat the book time by quite a lot, I think it was the slow and steady pace that was matching the slow and steady drizzle and the slow and sad mood I have been in. It was good to get out and be on a trail. Somethimes I think the woods are even more beautiful in the rain, they look so lush and alive. But a hot shower felt really good to come home to. It was nice to be hiking in the snow for what will probably be the last time this season. There were a few spots where we may have wanted better traction, but it was pretty easy to get by without crampons. Hum, where to tomorrow?
