Looking for anyone interested in a short-ish Vermont overnighter. You will be joining my son Colden and I on a short jaunt up the Skylight Pond Trail for a night at the Skylight Pond Lodge ($5 per night). Side trip to Breadloaf mountain is likely to occur. Breadloaf has an awesome view of Lake Champlain and the valley surrounding. Foliage is bound to be out!
Itinerary:
Sa: 6am departure to arrive at TH around 9:30ish Hike up to Lodge, Nappy time. Short hike to breadloaf, then dinner and "daddys' time"
Sun: Hike down.
I believe the hike has a 1800 ft. elevation gain, ~3miles each day. Good for a seasoned 3 year old or inexeperienced 4 year old.
Bringing your kid is not a requirement, but keep in mind my son will be whiny at times.
