Trail Conditions: Little snow down below..put on snowshoes for traction at around 2700 feet as fresh powder 3-4 inches...made for some slippage..Trail base well packed out..Kinsman Ridge now well packed out to South..brook crossings all easy on snowbridges
Special equipment: all in group donned snowshoes above 2700 feet and used them out and back down to Bald Knob..I did switch to Katooluhs for descent and flew on them..other than that basic winter gear
Comments..Wonderful day in the Whites..in and out of the views..cloud cover seemed to hover right abgout 4500 feet so Lincoln Lafayette never opened up..(until we were in the car)..great local views and gorgeous snowcovered trees on this fine day with hardly a breath of wind...it was all good
