Greenleaf Trail - Sat March 14th.
Definitely the least used trail to the hut. 5 of us set out and found a thick crust of frozen snow most of the way to the hut. Had to break trail in some spots but the cover underneath was not that deep. Beyond the hut the snow was softer until the upper section of the cone where it was very little snow left put plenty of rime and ice. Summit was bare in some spots and not as windy as usual. The warm weather and bright sunshine softened alot of areas on the descent. Perfect weather from trailhead to summit and back again. A great day.
Equipment - Crampons highly recommended. A few were trying to get by with just snowshoes but not as easily.
