Date of Hike: 9/13/2009
Trail Conditions: Really good all round. No mud to speak of, all stream crossings quite manageable. Some slipperyish rocks here and there on FWT around the upper falls (Cloudland?), but with a little care, not an issue
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: Great day, though it socked in as soon as we emerged from the woods onto the ridge at Little Haystack. Limited to no views on the ridge, but my son thought it was like being in a scene from Lord of the Rings, so all was good.
This was my first time on the ridge in 27 years. Things have changed a little since then
The number of people on the ridge despite the weather was astounding
