For those who are not already aware of this:
The Lindsey Brook trail, which starts across the street from Sharp Bridge campground, and allows access via a culvert under I-87 to the Dix Wilderness, is closed.
I went there today. There is a "Trail Closed" sign posted on the trailhead signpost. I followed the trail a couple hundred yards to see why it was closed. The trail has been inundated under a very large, deep beaver pond. The dam had been there for a while, so this may be old news to some. There was no evidence of a new path circumventing the beaver pond. If anyone knows a new way to get to the Lindsey culvert, please let us know.
