Logging roads between Garfield Trail and trailheads

Thanks, Mohamed. I'm especially interested in the Gale river - Garfield shortcut, as I hope to be there, soon. It's always interesting to see the trails that are mis-located on the USGS maps.

One question: What are the purple lines on the maps? Are these other roads/trails?
 
The purple lines are from National Geographic, superimposed on the basic USGS maps. Some are accurate (Gale River Road and the snowmobile trail to Bethlehem Reservoir). The ones east of the Gale River Trail seem to me to be imaginary :(

The red dashes and black lines were recorded by my GPSr, so they are for real :)
 
It looks straighter on the FS map (see P. 9)

That's sort of what I meant, sad that maps in official FS planning documents are less accurate than what one guy can do with a GPS.
