Lonesome Lake loop via Basin Cascade, Cascade Brook, and Pemi Trails
Date of Hike: May 15
Trail Conditions: Basin Cascade and Cascade Brook trails had some wet and muddy sections after last nights rains. Roots were slippery and wet. Just a tad bit of snow near the junction of the Lonesome Lake Trail that caused no problems.
Special Equipment Required: Nothing special required. Took my hiking stick anyway just in case I encountered any slippery places, which I did.
Comments: Beautiful day to enjoy what last nights rains did to the cascades and waterfalls along these trails. All were gorgeous and roaring very nicely. Saw my first blaze painter today. Thanks for all the work you do!
