Trail design, treadway, blazing all excellent. Very recent blowdowns - mostly last three days: seven or eight leafy hardwoods between Plot Road and Coddling Hollow; two or three half way from Plot Road to Round Top Shelter; One half way from Prospect Rock to Round Top.
Trail crews have whole section in excellent shape except for the gust front damage from a couple of days ago.
Three hours and twenty minutes for 8.8 miles, so the blowdowns are easily bypassed in relatively open woods or crawled over or under.
If one hikes at 0600 the annoying insects aren't out yet, the temp is pleasant, it leaves the rest of the day for other stuff.
Roundtop Shelter is a favorite - good moldering toilet, clear signage, nice view to the west. Great VFTT from Prospect Rock. Suspension Bridge at Ithiel Falls is excellent.
