Lucy Brook Cascades
A friend and I were out for hike to Big Attitash/West Moat, a NH 200 highest peak today via the Attitash Trail. This trail is seldom used, and is very obscure , with multiple crossings of Lucy Brook. The trail leaves Lucy Brook and heads west towards Big Attitash, and it was at this point that we saw some of the most impressive cascades either of us have seen in the Whites. The drop was very steep, and long, we estimate it to be well over 250 feet in length. With the water flow at such a high level as it is now, it was quite a sight! Neither of us had ever heard, or read a word about these cascades. Absolutely incredible!
