Lyon Mt. Actual Mileage?

We would like to know if anyone knows the actual mileage to the summit of Lyon Mt. using the newer trail. We keep a record of our total miles hiked on each trip and don't know the distance up the newer trail.

Hey Phil, great story in the Examiner! So it is the ADK that cut the newer trail and only about a year ago, eh? Nice to know! It is a wonderful trail to hike! My wife and I want to get involved in trailwork starting next spring. We will work with the 46rs but also might be interested in the ADK work too. Our summit experience on Lyon last week included 1-3 ft. of snow!!
