Trail Conditions: Some blowdown but the trail is in great shape. I followed the red trail created by the ADK Pro Crew in 2008.
Special Equipment Required: Heavy Duty Bug Repellant.
Comments: Weather was great today. Sunny with temps in the 70's. Plenty of views all around. I spent the morning doing the spider web limbo. Also dodged some frogs and snakes. Met up with a local trail maintainer at the summit and got to hear some interesting stories.
Silver Lake Rd., CR 1 (CR 13 on the map) is closed for bridge repair. No problem following the detour. It dropped me off on SR 3 in Redford. There was construction between Redford and Moffittsville.
Drive safely. It’s butterfly season (and the cops are out).
