We started at Elk Lake. Finally a nice day without rain. The trail was damp to start and then became wet and muddy in spots. Headed up the Slide Brook trail which wasn't in bad shape. The slide was AWSOME! Black flies, misquitos and deer flies were out in force today. There was a good breeze that helped a little with the bugs. We went over to South Dix and down Lillian Brook trail. Another fine day in the adks.
Water proof boots, gaiters, poles, deet and camera were essential today.
