Man vs wild dangerous locations

Not to bash Bear but someone with sharp eyes spotted this dangerous location that Bear risked his life at for us. Please pay special attention to the end of the video where they show how far away they are from civilization and how active the area was with lava flows.

Ha, oh well. I think of the show as just another fictional tv show, like a MacGyver in the wild. I like Survivorman much better now.

Looks like it could be the south side of Kilauea Caldera (Hawaii Volcanoes NP). You step off the paved road onto wild-looking lava fields. IIRC, there is a good sized expansion crack or two...
