Calamity Brook trail pretty muddy in spots, but manageable. Poles were a big help keeping balance on slippery logs. Herd path was as gorgeous as advertised. Encountered a few mud pits along the brook where it was too slippery to walk on the slabs. Was glad that I had gaiters on (and not in my pack, as they usually are). HP was very easy to follow with occasionally cairns and some discrete flagging at brook crossings. Lost trail once (duh), when filtering water, but quickly found it. No bugs. Notta. Zilch.
