Ok, so I was looking for information about the Metacomet trail, and I came upon this:

Wow, what a wealth of information on the CT traprock, specifically the metabassett/metacomet trails. I never knew such bio-deversity could be found right in my back yard.

Oh, and if anyone knows the Metacomet trail distances From Carey Road (near Ragged Mtn, Southington) and Rt 6 in Farmington, I would find the info VERY usefull.

If my map calculations are correct, it is 13.5 miles from Carey St./Reservoir Rd in Southington to route 6 in Farmington. The Carey St. on my map is just north of the Timberlin Golf Course and changes to Reservoir Rd once it enters Berlin.

By the way, thanks for the link. My sister and I just finished the last section of the Mattabesett Trail last weekend.

The Connecticut Walk Book - not sure if east or west - has excellent coverage. The book is formatted nicely too.

I don't have either. I base my opinion on seeing one that a friend has.
