Due to my work schedule, I have Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays off through the month of February and would like to get out a couple of times (been in the house for the entire winter season so far taking care of a newborn). If you are one of those that regularly gets out in mid-week and would not mind some company or you have some time off mid-week, PM me, e-mail me ([email protected]), or reply to this post so that I can form some plans. Looking forward to getting out there.

Funny this should appear at this exact moment. I planned to post essentially the same thing. Here goes:

I have some vacation time to use up 2/4-2/8 and 2/11-2/15. Exact
dates are somewhat flexible to accommodate weather, and work. I am
looking for folks interested in a bagging a few winter peaks during
this time.

In order of preference I would like to get

Tier 1 (11 peaks):
All 3 Carters, Wildcats, Moriah (I view this as three trips)
N + S Kinsman
Madison, Jefferson, Adams (I view this as three trips, must be
exceptional conditions)

Tier 2 (3 peaks):
N, S Twin
Hale

Tier 3:
Anything else except Carrigain, Jackson, Zealand, Bonds, Tom,
Field, Willey and Lincoln

Please send me a PM if you are interested (include peaks and dates if
you know and/or care) and I will give you as much notice as I possibly
can.

Note: My summertime average speed is 1.7 MPH and 515 feet/hour
trailhead-to-trailhead (i.e., including all stops.) My hiking style
is to eat and drink while moving, with occasional brief stops for gear
changes and photography. Longer stops on the summits.
My ideal group size is 2-4.

tuesdays and thursdays

hey Enapai,
I have tuesdays and thursdays off, except for drop-off and pick-up from school.
I usually hike something local to me, like Smart's, or Cube. I've been thinking of hiking Black Mtn, or Blueberry Mtn, just east of Moosilauke sometime soon. Also, If I can get my wife to do kid transport to/from school, I could do something further away in the whites......
Are you from the Danville area? I grew up in St.J......

2/11-2/15

I'm off next week. Two of those days will probably be spent hiking and if you would like to join me, please send a PM. From my list above, move the Kinsmans from Tier 1 to the Tier 3 "anything but" list.

Given the storm totals, a lot will depend on what gets broken out this weekend, although I suspect most everything on the Tier 1 list will be at least partially broken.

I'm a regular mid-week hiker. I'd be up for doing something in the Benton area (let me think about what) or a BW in the Whites, maybe w/Hancocks, Garfield, or Osecolas. If I decide to go that route, you wouldn't need towack with me if that's not your thing...

Thursdays are a great day for me. It would be particularly great to drive out from the Boston area for some Thursday hikes, but starting out closer to the trail head would be good, too.

edited to clarify: Not hiking in Boston, but driving from the Boston area.

Bump.... Still looking for some company for tomorrow and/or Thursday. I'm not interested in hiking in Boston, nor in bushwhacking (not yet anyway...) Preference to do something in Carter-Moriah-Wildcat range but any place but Carrigain, Jackson, Kinsmans, Tom, Field, Willey is OK.

PM me if interested,
Tim
