After a three year hiatus for redevelopment. This quiet primitive hilltop campground, situated for convenient access to the northern Whites and North Country is open for campers.
Four of six first come- first served campsites are open and signed for easy access from a loop road. 2 more sites with short hikes in are almost complete. There are pit toilets and water available at hydrants throughout the loop. No showers or flush toilets, but they may be reopened in the future. There is a self pay iron ranger for camping permits.
Four yurts are also available by advanced reservation only. Winter use is being considered, and would be by XC or snowshoe access from the Nansen XC trail network in the park.

Check it out as this is the type of campground I always seek.
