Miles Notch logging road - what's going on?

Curious if anyone knows what is happening at the beginning of the Miles Notch trail. There has been some serious roadwork done and it looks more like the precursor to some sort of development back in there. Any ideas? It would be a great place for a FS campground!

I saw that late last fall and presumed it is for private development as most of the land along the road is. Noticed many survey stakes that seemed to divide up lots. Not a bad place to be.
