Does anyone know what the conditions are on Monadnock trails as far as how much snow is left? Thinking of a possible hike next week, and while I always have my snowshoes in my trunk, I might use a different backpack if I know I won't need to carry them.

Don't bring snow shoes. There's, for the most part, a few inches of snow on the ground. Some of the trails have some deepish drifts (2-3') but I just postholed these short sections. Definitely not worth carrying snowshoes.

On Sunday I did the White Dot, White Cross and Marlboro Trail -- still a decent amount of ice; did fine with microspikes. I summitted 3 times and had the summit to myself each time on a gorgeous, 55 F degree bluebird skies day.

Also, all trails open -- as of now -- except the portions of the trails that connect from the Cascade Link to the various trailheads on the East side of the mountian (Dublin Trail, Birchtoft, the Pumpelly).
