Moosilauke & S. Peak via Glencliff 5-16-09
Date of Hike: 5-16-09
Trail Conditions: Bare ground nearly all the way up Glencliff. Just a few areas of snow/ice in the last section below the junction with Carriage Rd, easily bypassed. Rotting monorail for a few hundred yards up Carriage Rd towards summit, but the open summit area is snow-free.
Bit of a monorail heading up to S. Peak, but its summit is snow-free, too.
Special Equipment Required: Still need warm clothes for higher summits like the Moose.
Comments: – Warm & green on the bottom. Chilly & cloudy on the top. Had winds in the 35 mph range on the summit.
