Date of Hike: Sunday 10/15/09
Trail Conditions: The first non-bridged crossings on Beaver Brook required extra care to cross, but not too bad. The trail was still fairly wet from yesterday's rain but thanks to the fine efforts of the DOC the footing was good. A bit of standing water as the trail begins to flatten out closer to 4k feet. Gorge Brook fine on the way out, little wet and mucky between the first and second bridge crossings.
What a difference a few days makes, we didn't see a trace of any snow or ice the whole day.
Special Equipment Required: none!
Comments: Beaver Brook was flowing quite well, impressive to watch. 4th time up to Moosilauke, first time with views.
