I was the third one up the trail, two guys and their dog just ahead of me which explained the strange round marks on the side of the trail, a frisbee the dog wasn't interested in preferring to visit with me to my delight. They bare booted all the way. I put crampons on at the Agony, although I didn't posthole snowshoes may have worked better. The Carriage Rd was heavily drifted in so I put on snowshoes and all my gear. At the end of the kromholz corridor things got a little dicey. Out onto the open it was very limited visibility, cairn to cairn with an occasional leap of faith, but I found the top with no real problems other than being a little nervous. Very exciting. I kept the shoes on for the hike back down which was good. A very large party tore up the Agony pretty good on their way up. After that it was a swift and pleasant hike back.
