We were the only hikers heading up the Glencliff Trail Friday morning. The trail was in great shape. Traces of snow down low turned into about 1" mid-way up, and about 2" at the summit, with drifts to 12"+. Didn't use or need microspikes, as there was no ice on the trail - just snow with dirt below, and footing was OK. Blowing fog and everything coated in rime ice made for a dramatic summit. 20 degrees and 30-40 mph winds, with gusts to 50, but only at the summit - calm in the woods and on the ridge. Saw one other group who came up Gorge Brook and were heading down Snapper, and they reported no wind until the summit.
