A bit of a different format this time ... look out, man, soon I'll be dangerous!

Enjoy!
Edited to add -- I've learned at least one truly useful thing doing this: those chemical handwarmers are absolutely awesome for keeping a camera warm. I've had some real problems before in cold weather with the battery konking out, but on this week's hikes I popped a warmer inside a liner sock and nested that beneath the camera in its little pouch on my hipbelt, and it held up fine all day long. Disclaimer: not responsible for any melted electronics, YMMV ...
Oh, and another useful thing: a couple of inches of new snow, bonded underneath with an adhesive layer of mixed precip, has done nice things for the footing up there. Traction is still helpful, but there's not nearly so much exposed hard water ice as earlier in the week.
