Well this was sundays hike, just me and Julie (timmus). It had been a late night, or early morning-depending on how you look at it. Well some of us didn't make it to bed until 5am sunday morning after saturdays party/potluck/bonfire/binge. Got up at 7am and felt, well...drained. It was pouring, with small windows of relief for a short hike. So, we decided Morgan-it's short, usually pretty dry, quick swack with open woods-lets do it.
We got to the trailhead for Copper Kill Pond under dry conditions. Meaning, it wasn't raining at the time. The trail was pretty dry except for the trees and a couple small mud spots. We made quick time to the height of land-considering...
The bushwhack was through very open woods, in fact there is a very noticable herd path from the trail, but it gets pretty hard to follow. From the summit the herd path is very obvious, but again peters out after a short distance.
Great hike, great company. Needless to say, I was in bed around 7pm.
