Moriah & Shelburne Moriah NH - Sept 24

With considerable input from VFFT members (thread in Q&A) - we are planning a loop starting at Wild River (Moriah Brook Trail) to Carter Moriah and other trails to both summits and returning Shelburne Trail to Wild River Road or Highwater trail. Planning for 6-6:30 am on Sat Sept 24. Being a middle aged couple with a 12 3/4 year old boy - we hike at a moderate but steady pace. If anyone wants to join us respond here or by PM. We'll be leaving Mass. midday Sept 23 and staying in Jackson.

Great route, with little traffic! We did this hike more or less in reverse in early October last fall for our annual CROP Walk to feed the hungry. Foliage was spectacular, although somewhat muted once the clouds rolled in while we were on Shel Moriah.
