Date of Hike: Sunday 11/1

Trail Conditions: some very muddy spots, some concealed by fallen leaves, at lower elevations. Blazes are scarce in spots. A few wet, slick spots on the ledges. Not a speck of ice or snow to be seen.

Special Equipment Required: wish we'd worn shorts!

Comments: the quiet, south side of Chocorua is like a whole different mountain. We saw very few people on ascent and descent. Plenty of people on top, but we were up there by ourselves for a good half hour before anybody else arrived, enjoying unimpeded views in all directions, soaking up the sun, and enjoying mild breezes and temps.

We cracked open some cold apres hike beverages at the trailhead, then had dinner at Cafe Noche in Conway before heading for the barn.

Thank you to Carol F, John G, Mary Ann M and Foster S for a relaxing, wonderful day!
