Trail: Liberty et. al.
Conditions: Low cloud cover down low, clouds beneath us from the junction of the Hammond Trail. Beautiful blue sky with high, thin clouds way above us. Unbelievably mild for November. I toted up a thermos of hot apple cider and could have left it home. Some guys overnighting at the Jim Liberty cabin had "enjoyed" the night before but left the remains of a campfire. I was going to do my "leave no trace" thing and spread it out, but the coals were too hot.
Of special note: I took a photo of a woman on the upper reaches who was in meditation. I would love to be able to send her a copy but didn't want to interrupt her to ask her name and address, especially if the picture wasn't anything special. But it is! She was dressed in a red long sleeved top, has long curly blond hair, and a pink water bottle. Any ideas, anyone? [email protected]
